Portsmouth’s Strawbery Banke Hosts Food, Wine Festival

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. —

Strawbery Banke Museum will host Vintage & Vine, its annual “wine festival in historic style,” Sept. 8 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. (4 p.m. admission for VIP). Celebrating it’s 31st year, the event is in partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlets.

Vintage & Vine 2018 offers more than 1,000 guests an opportunity to chat with knowledgeable wine and restaurant partners as they nibble and sip their way through the 10-acre, enchanting historical village, while listening to jazz and blues by Cuppa Joe.

The premier wine vendor Horizon Beverage, along with preferred wine vendors Pine State Beverage Company and Perfecta Wine Company lead a dozen other wineries and vendors in presenting hundreds of wines for tasting.

This year Star Chefs from The Garden Grille and Bar, Martingale Wharf, Tuscan Kitchen and 250 Market will be grilling up some innovative bites from “center-stage” on the Puddle Dock lawn.

The proceeds from the fundraising event support the nonprofit Museum’s preservation efforts and the History Within Reach program, which brings more than 10,000 schoolchildren to the museum each year. 

Vintage & Vine tickets are available now, and are priced as follows:

General admission: $65; designated driver $25

VIP admission including Grand Tasting:  $120; designated VIP driver $35

Members receive $20 off the price of admission

All guests, including designated drivers, must be 21 years of age or older.

Vintage & Vine is a ‘zero waste event’ using compostable products and recycling all of the wine bottles from the event.

Complimentary transportation from city parking lots and hotels to Strawbery Banke will be provided by the Pickwick’s Nickleby Trolley, operating from 3:30 to 8:30 pm. For the route map, please click here.

Strawbery Banke Museum, in the heart of historic downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is an authentic, 10-acre outdoor history museum dedicated to bringing 300+ years of American history to life.
